though, it leaks from the handle if filled to the top...
excellent solution, GENERAL OPINION
Very happy with my choice. We used to have only bottled mineral (still and sparkling) water and that was not healthy, not practical and kind of expensive.
Don't expect filtered water to taste like still mineral water though! It has a neutral taste, maybe a little sweeter than what I was used to, but I could easily get used to it. We now use it for drinking, cooking, tea & cofee, filling up the air humidifier and the iron.
BRITA METER
After 4 weeks, the meter displays 25% left. We are 2 adults and a breast fed baby.
ADVICE
Try to order the XL version as constantly filling it up, especially for cooking can be quite tedious.

Brita Elemaris XL Filter Jug with Brita Meter, 21 Feb 2010I was most impressed with the style and efficiency of this item. The size is just right for my needs, and I now have a constant supply of filtered water on hand for tea/coffee drinks. It's too large for storage in my fridge for really cold drinks, (hopefully needed in quantity for this coming summer) but not such an issue in February. All in all, an excellent purchase.
